French scholars out there will know what the word "enceinte" means. Everyone else can take my word for it: we're pregnant! Wow. All that time, and it's worked. We're attributing this month's success to a combination of progesterone supplementation, acupuncture, and having moved to a great new apartment here in Paris. The "2-3" on the test is meant to estimate how far along the pregnancy is, based on levels of HCG, the pregnancy hormone, I guess. According to the way we count gestational age in the US, from the first day of the last period, I'm five weeks in today. My parents joked that 2-3 is the number of babies--yikes!Several hours later...I have a whole bunch of fun pictures that I was going to post, but I'm going to hold off for a bit, just until I've seen a doctor. Don't want to get too far ahead of myself...
